“The Greatest” Brings Muhammad Ali’s Life to Prime Video November 4th

Prime Video’s The Greatest arrives November 4th, bringing Muhammad Ali’s life into an authorized scripted series starring Jaalen Best. All eight episodes are scheduled to debut together in more than 240 countries and territories, according to Amazon’s official series guide.
The production has access to Ali’s estate, with his widow, Lonnie Ali, serving as an executive producer. Amazon describes a story that extends beyond the champion’s wins and losses to his relationships as a husband, father, brother and son. It is a dramatization of his life, rather than a documentary assembled from archival fights.
Who is telling the story
Best leads a cast that includes Omari Hardwick as Cassius Clay Sr., Dana Gourrier as Odessa “Bird” Clay and Amin Joseph as Sonny Liston. Michael Ealy plays Malcolm X, while Giovanni Ribisi portrays trainer Angelo Dundee and Kai Parham plays Rudy Clay.
Ben Watkins serves as creator, showrunner and executive producer through Blue Monday Productions. Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society is among the producing companies, alongside Roc Nation and other partners. The official trailer offers an early look at the cast and the series’ approach before the full release.
A busy November on Prime Video
Amazon’s November programming calendar places The Greatest at the beginning of a substantial month for the service. The football documentary Terrell & T.O. follows on November 5th, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power returns November 11th, and Blade Runner 2099 is scheduled for November 25th.
For viewers choosing what to watch first, the Ali series offers a complete eight-episode season on its opening date. That release format makes it possible to begin with one episode or plan a longer viewing session without waiting for a weekly installment.
