Ravens Place Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley on Injured Reserve

The Ravens placed Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley on injured reserve Thursday, November 5, formally removing both quarterbacks from the active roster for at least four games. Baltimore also promoted Austin Reed from the practice squad as its quarterback situation continued to change before the Jacksonville matchup.
The team’s roster announcement identifies Jackson’s right-thumb injury and Huntley’s toe injury, both sustained during Sunday’s game at Buffalo. The injured-reserve transactions establish their immediate availability; they do not, by themselves, establish a season-ending timetable for either player.
Reed joins Joe Fagnano and Kedon Slovis on the active roster. Baltimore previously named Fagnano its starter for Thursday, giving the offense a new lead quarterback while the club searches for additional experience. The Ravens also elevated kicker Jake Moody and outside linebacker Adisa Isaac from the practice squad.
That search includes a reported deal for Arizona quarterback Jacoby Brissett. The Ravens’ Wednesday account, citing ESPN’s Adam Schefter, said the teams were finalizing a trade. It reported that the transaction was not expected to be completed until the weekend and that Brissett’s earliest possible Baltimore debut would be November 16 against the Chargers.
The distinction matters for Thursday’s game: an anticipated acquisition is not an available quarterback. The latest official roster moves concern Reed, Jackson and Huntley; the Brissett report remains a separate development that requires a completed transaction before it can be treated as final.
Brissett would bring substantially more NFL starting experience. The team’s report describes a 33-year-old veteran in his 11th season with 73 career starts. He also has familiarity with Ravens quarterbacks coach Israel Woolfork, who worked with him in Arizona during the previous two seasons.
For now, Baltimore’s confirmed change is a depleted quarterback room with another active-roster addition. The next roster announcement will clarify whether the anticipated Brissett move becomes official and how the Ravens arrange their options beyond Thursday.
