BALTIMORE — The Ravens needed a clean, controlled night to help a depleted quarterback room. Instead, three giveaways and a passing attack that never found room to operate left Baltimore with a 33–10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday, November 5, at M&T Bank Stadium.

Joe Fagnano’s first NFL start ended with 60 passing yards and two interceptions. Justice Hill provided Baltimore’s lone touchdown on a 65-yard fourth-quarter run, but the Ravens were already down 30 points when he broke free. Baltimore fell to 4–5 with its fourth consecutive defeat; Jacksonville improved to 6–2.

The final NFL box score showed the contrast at quarterback: Trevor Lawrence completed 16 of 26 passes for 242 yards and a touchdown without an interception. Fagnano went 10-for-18, took one sack and finished without a touchdown pass. Baltimore’s running game produced 172 yards, but those yards did not translate into sustained scoring.

A first half that slipped away

Jacksonville struck first on Bhayshul Tuten’s 1-yard touchdown run with 11:24 remaining in the opening quarter. Jake Moody answered with a 53-yard field goal, giving Baltimore its first points and trimming the deficit to four. Cam Little’s 36-yard field goal restored a seven-point Jacksonville lead before the quarter ended.

The decisive separation before halftime came through the air. Lawrence found Parker Washington for a 50-yard touchdown with 1:06 left in the second quarter. The extra point left Baltimore trailing 17–3 at the break, with its offense still searching for an end-zone response.

Washington finished with 61 receiving yards on two catches. Jakobi Meyers added four receptions for 65 yards. Jacksonville did not need a huge rushing total to control the game: the Jaguars gained 77 yards on the ground while Lawrence delivered the bigger gains downfield.

Turnovers made the comeback harder

The second half began with another setback. Montaric Brown intercepted Fagnano on a pass intended for Zay Flowers and returned the ball to Baltimore’s 26-yard line. Little’s ensuing 45-yard field goal pushed the Ravens’ deficit to 20–3.

Baltimore’s defense then created an opening of its own. Malaki Starks forced a Travis Hunter fumble, and Teddye Buchanan recovered at midfield with 5:15 remaining in the third quarter. The offense could not turn that takeaway into points. On fourth-and-1 at Jacksonville’s 41, Mark Andrews fumbled and recovered his own ball without gaining the needed yard. The possession ended on downs.

That sequence mattered beyond the lost scoring chance. Baltimore had received favorable field position while still within three scores, only to return the ball without cutting into the deficit. Jacksonville entered the fourth quarter in position to keep adding points rather than chasing a response.

Little made a 47-yard field goal early in the fourth. Jourdan Lewis then intercepted another Fagnano pass intended for Flowers, setting up Little’s 33-yarder. The Jaguars’ kicker finished with four made field goals.

Special teams compounded the problem on the ensuing kickoff. LaJohntay Wester’s return was initially ruled down by contact, but Jacksonville’s challenge reversed the ruling to a fumble forced and recovered by Jalen McLeod at Baltimore’s 32. Chris Rodriguez Jr. later scored on a 2-yard run. Jacksonville converted Baltimore’s three giveaways into two field goals and a touchdown.

Hill’s burst, and a difficult injury picture

Hill’s 65-yard touchdown run finally gave the Ravens an end-zone finish in the fourth quarter. He led Baltimore with 85 yards on nine carries. Derrick Henry added 57 yards on 17 attempts, while Flowers gained 17 yards on three rushes. The late explosive play narrowed the final margin without changing the game’s direction.

The quarterback circumstances were severe before kickoff. Baltimore placed Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley on injured reserve after Jackson’s right-thumb injury and Huntley’s toe injury in the previous game against Buffalo. Their absences put Fagnano in the starting role and made protecting possessions particularly important.

The injury concerns extended to the defense. The Ravens announced that Kyle Hamilton was ruled out with a hip injury near the end of the third quarter. A return timetable was not established in the team’s initial report, leaving another significant question alongside the quarterback situation.

Baltimore’s next step is to turn available rushing production into drives that end in points while reducing the short fields created by mistakes. Thursday showed how quickly those problems can reinforce each other: an offense struggling to throw had less room for error, and each giveaway made the deficit more difficult to manage.
