Maryland Women’s Basketball returns to College Park for its home opener against George Mason on Sunday, November 8, 2026. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at XFINITY Center, with B1G+ carrying the game. The No. 20 Terrapins enter 0–1; the Patriots arrive at 2–0.

The university’s game preview also makes Sunday a family outing: Kids Day includes a buy-one-adult-ticket, get-one-youth-ticket-free offer, discounted Maryland Dairy ice cream and a postgame movie on the video board. Families should review the ticket offer before purchasing and allow time for entry.

Home After the Paris Opener

Maryland began its season with a 101–93 loss to South Carolina in Paris. Addi Mack scored 35 points as the Terrapins mounted a late rally. Sunday gives the team an opportunity to turn that competitive finish into a stronger start in front of its home crowd.

The Terps carry a 27-game home winning streak against nonconference opponents into the matchup, according to the preview. Maryland also leads the George Mason series 10–0. Those records provide context, but the next result still depends on how this group plays together over four quarters.

A November Window for Local Fans

The published schedule places several more games in College Park after Sunday: Columbia on November 15th at 1 p.m., Coppin State on November 18th at 6 p.m., Morgan State on November 21st at noon and Monmouth on November 24th at 7 p.m. That gives local fans several opportunities to see the team this month.

Before leaving for Sunday’s game, check the university’s current parking and clear-bag guidance through its game preview. The scheduled start is early enough to plan around an afternoon visit, while the postgame activities give families a reason to leave extra time.
