The Lower Pindell Park & Ride in Lothian is temporarily closed for construction from Friday, September 11, through Friday, September 18, according to the Maryland Transit Administration. The advisory affects commuter bus routes 810 and 820 and directs passengers to park and board at Bristol or Wayson’s Corner instead.

MTA published the service advisory on September 9. Its listed end time is 11:59 p.m. September 18, so riders should plan around the closure through that Friday. Check for a new agency notice before returning to Lower Pindell; the published window describes the current plan, not a guarantee that construction cannot change it.

For riders choosing an alternate lot, MTA’s route 810 schedule identifies Bristol Park & Ride at MD 4 and MD 258, and Wayson’s Corner near MD 4 and MD 408. Look up the boarding time for the stop you will actually use, rather than carrying over your usual Lower Pindell departure time.

The agency lists route 810 as Pindell–Washington, DC, and route 820 as North Beach/Prince George’s Equestrian Center–DC. Open the relevant route page, select your travel date and direction, and compare the trip with the closure alert. Review the return journey as well, especially if someone normally meets you at the Lower Pindell lot.

Allow time to reach the alternate boarding location and make sure anyone sharing your commute knows where you are parking. MTA’s Transit Information Contact Center is available at 410-539-5000 or 1-866-743-3682, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. The agency’s service-alerts page is the place to check for updated closure information.

This is a commuter-bus parking and boarding change. Readers tracking a separate regional rail development can also see PowerPage’s MARC through-service guide for the planned September 28 connection into Baltimore. For Lower Pindell passengers, the immediate task is simpler: choose Bristol or Wayson’s Corner and confirm the correct trip before heading out.
