Rockstar Games is taking the next major look at Grand Theft Auto VI beyond the usual trailer drop. Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look will premiere on Netflix on Thursday, August 27, at 3 p.m. ET.
The presentation will then become available at 9 p.m. ET on Rockstar’s YouTube channel and the official GTA VI website. That creates a six-hour first window for Netflix while preserving free public access later the same evening.
The title promises more than a routine clip, but neither Rockstar nor Netflix has announced the presentation’s running time or exact format. It has not been officially labeled a gameplay showcase or a third trailer. PowerPage will keep those descriptions unconfirmed until the companies define them.
The distribution strategy is the larger entertainment-business story. A video-game publisher is treating new material from one of the world’s largest franchises like appointment streaming, while Netflix receives a concentrated audience event without turning the project into a conventional television series.
GTA VI remains scheduled for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. The August presentation arrives less than three months before release, giving Rockstar a clear window to explain more of the game after years of intense speculation.
For viewers, the practical details are simple: Netflix at 3 p.m. ET, then Rockstar’s public channels at 9 p.m. ET. Anything beyond those confirmed times—including the amount of gameplay, story material or technical detail—remains a question for August 27.
