Control Resonant Details Assist Mode Ahead of Its September 24 PS5 Launch

Control Resonant will let players change individual parts of combat instead of relying only on a broad difficulty choice. In a September 10 development post, Remedy lead gameplay designer Sergey Mohov explained the expanded Assist Mode ahead of the game’s September 24 PS5 launch. The options can reduce specific obstacles or make the experience more demanding.
Players will be able to alter enemy aggression, projectile speed, and the timing window for a perfect dodge. Separate settings govern incoming and outgoing damage, how quickly enemies lose their posture, and power recovery. Options also include immortality and one-hit kills. Mohov says players can enable or disable Assist Mode during gameplay and begin with presets before fine-tuning individual settings.
The change works in both directions. Players seeking a tougher fight can increase aggression or incoming damage and narrow the dodge window. Remedy says using these options will not block trophies or achievements. That makes the system relevant to players who want to adjust a particular mechanic while retaining the rest of the challenge. These are announced features, not results from a hands-on test.
The PlayStation product page describes a single-player action RPG built around Dylan Faden, who emerges into a transformed Manhattan after confinement by the Federal Bureau of Control. His shifting melee weapon, the Aberrant, is central to the combat. The game moves the series beyond the Oldest House while Dylan also searches for his sister, Jesse.
As checked September 10, the U.S. listing offers the standard edition for $59.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition for $69.99. The deluxe package lists 48-hour early access, an outfit, a resource bundle, a digital artbook, and the soundtrack among its extras. Both remain preorders. The page identifies PS5 support and PS5 Pro enhancement, with controller remapping and subtitle options also listed.
For prospective players, the practical distinction is between the edition purchase and the combat adjustments described by Remedy. Review the current product listing before ordering and revisit the available settings after launch. PowerPage’s gaming coverage also examines the newly released No Man’s Sky Cosmos update and what returning players can do with it.
