Xbox Tokyo Game Show Broadcast Starts September 17 at 6 A.M. Eastern
The Xbox Tokyo Game Show broadcast is set for Thursday, September 17, at 6 a.m. Eastern, giving Baltimore-area players an early start to a major gaming week. Xbox announced the stream for 3 a.m. Pacific and 7 p.m. Japan Standard Time, with Misuzu Araki returning as host.
According to Xbox Wire, the broadcast will include new gameplay and material from the Tokyo Game Show floor. Viewers can use the official Xbox YouTube channel, Xbox Japan’s YouTube channel, the Tokyo Game Show YouTube channel or Xbox’s Twitch channel. Xbox says Japanese and English audio will be available.
The company also lists American Sign Language and English audio-description options, with additional subtitle languages planned after the broadcast. For anyone who cannot tune in before work or school, that makes the official channels useful places to return to after the live presentation.
Xbox’s show-floor plans include Minecraft Dungeons II, which is due September 29 and will enter Game Pass on release day. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 multiplayer will also be available at Happinet’s booth ahead of its October 23 launch. Those are announced floor attractions; the broadcast will provide the opportunity to see what additional gameplay Xbox shares.
The wider event runs September 17–21 at Makuhari Messe, according to the Tokyo Game Show organizer. September 17 and 18 are business days, while September 19–21 are public days. That five-day schedule gives viewers a way to distinguish Thursday’s Xbox broadcast from the rest of the convention’s programming.
