Netflix’s “UNABOMBER” Trailer Pairs Jacob Tremblay With Russell Crowe

Netflix's first trailer for “UNABOMBER” frames its subject as both a manhunt and a study of how a gifted student became a domestic terrorist. Jacob Tremblay plays the young Ted Kaczynski, while Russell Crowe appears as Harvard psychologist Henry Murray. The film arrives on Netflix September 25.

The UNABOMBER Netflix trailer opens with the damage caused by a mail bomb before moving backward to Harvard in 1958. Kaczynski enters college as a teenage prodigy and becomes involved in Murray's psychological experiments. The preview connects those sessions to a growing sense of isolation, anger and control without presenting them as a simple excuse for later violence.

Shailene Woodley plays FBI agent Joanne Miller, whose investigation carries the second timeline. Annabelle Wallis also stars. The structure lets the film move between the person Kaczynski was becoming and the consequences investigators were trying to stop years later, building suspense even though the historical outcome is widely known.
