Ravens’ final roster week begins with LaJohntay Wester turning a strong summer into one of Baltimore’s most important evaluation stories. After Baltimore’s 13-3 win over Minnesota, the second-year receiver remains squarely in the conversation because his value extends beyond one offensive role.

Head coach Jesse Minter praised Wester’s progress Monday, pointing to his development as both a receiver and punt returner. Wester has shown the burst that made him dangerous in space at Colorado, but his sharper routes and increased comfort in the offense have made his roster argument more complete. Special-teams reliability may ultimately separate him in a crowded position group.

The Ravens’ official Monday transcript also made the week’s urgency clear. Baltimore’s starters worked Monday, the team moves into a walkthrough Tuesday and the Commanders visit for a joint practice Wednesday. Several decisions remain open. Jovaughn Gwyn continued to work as the first-team center Monday, while veteran Ethan Pocic is expected to receive first-team opportunities. The battle matters even more after Danny Pinter’s injury, though Baltimore’s broader challenge is finding the best five-man combination rather than forcing an early answer at one position.

Defensively, Nnamdi Madubuike continues to progress, but Minter did not offer a definitive Week 1 timetable. That uncertainty gives the remaining defensive linemen additional meaningful work. The final preseason game may not feature every established starter, yet it will matter for the players competing to define the second unit and game-day special teams.

Wester is the clearest example of what this week can change. A strong joint practice and clean finale would reinforce the versatility he has displayed throughout camp. Baltimore has five days to turn months of evaluation into a 53-man roster, and the players who can solve more than one problem will have the strongest closing argument.
