Ravens Elevate Edoga and Hergel as Offensive-Line Depth Takes Focus in Atlanta

The Ravens have added two offensive linemen for Sunday night’s trip to Atlanta, elevating tackle Chuma Edoga and guard Kyle Hergel from the practice squad. Baltimore announced the moves October 10th, giving the offense additional options as it prepares to play behind a line with continuing injury concerns.

According to the team’s roster announcement, guard Andrew Vorhees remains questionable with a foot injury after two limited practices. Hergel was also elevated for the previous game but did not play. Emery Jones Jr. is another available backup at guard.

Edoga brings substantial experience to the tackle group: he is in his eighth NFL season, with 62 appearances and 25 starts. Ronnie Stanley, who dealt with toe and ankle issues during the week, has no game designation and is expected to play. Carson Vinson provides another option behind him.

Those distinctions matter. An elevation adds a player to the game-day roster pool; it does not itself confirm a starting assignment or settle another player’s availability. Vorhees’ designation still requires attention when the team releases its inactive list.

A new roster development before Sunday night

The moves follow Friday’s confirmation that Lamar Jackson will miss the game and Tyler Huntley will start. PowerPage’s earlier injury report covers that quarterback decision. Saturday’s additions shift the immediate focus toward the players tasked with protecting Huntley and creating room for the running game.

The Ravens’ matchup preview identifies Atlanta’s rushing defense as a central test for Derrick Henry. On the other side, Bijan Robinson enters after totaling 349 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns across his previous two games. Sustaining drives would help Baltimore limit the opportunities for that offense.

Baltimore enters 3–1 and Atlanta 2–2. Kickoff is October 11th at 8:20 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, with coverage on NBC and Peacock. Local radio options include WBAL 1090 AM/101.5 FM and 98 Rock. The game has not been played at this edition’s cutoff; this is a pregame roster update.
