Lamar Jackson Ruled Out for Atlanta; Huntley Starts as Flowers Remains Questionable

Lamar Jackson is ruled out for Baltimore’s Sunday night game in Atlanta. The Ravens’ October 9th injury report confirms the quarterback will miss the matchup with an ankle injury, and outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson is also out with a finger injury. Tyler Huntley will start.
The final designations move the story beyond missed practices. Jackson did not practice during the week after leaving the Tennessee game with the ankle problem. Baltimore must now prepare to play without both its starting quarterback and a key edge defender, rather than wait for a game-time decision on either player.
Zay Flowers remains questionable with a foot issue. Cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who returned to limited practice Friday while dealing with hamstring and calf problems, and guard Andrew Vorhees, limited by a foot injury, are also questionable. Those labels leave their availability unresolved; they are not confirmations that the players will sit out.
In Friday’s press conference, head coach Jesse Minter described the offense as a system built around the available playmakers, offensive line and running game. He expressed confidence in Huntley’s preparation. The approach gives Baltimore a familiar replacement at quarterback while still requiring the surrounding personnel to adjust.
Huntley said he received official word about the starting assignment Friday. He emphasized the benefit of practicing throughout the week and getting more repetitions, and described Jackson as a helpful presence when they discuss what he sees from the sideline.
Minter did not commit to a return date for Jackson. His comments about the quarterback working toward a comeback should not be read as clearance for the following game. The next update will require fresh information from the team.
Kickoff is Sunday, October 11th, at 8:20 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Ravens’ viewing guide lists NBC nationally and WBAL Channel 11 in Baltimore. Follow PowerPage’s Ravens coverage for subsequent availability updates.
