Pratt Free Market Is Closed October 30; Pantry Dates Shift for November and December

The Pratt Free Market will be closed Friday, October 30, according to the Enoch Pratt Free Library’s program notice. Residents planning a grocery visit to the Southeast Anchor Library should also note two changes to the remaining Pantry on the Go schedule: November 13 and December 11.
Those pantry dates replace the usual fourth-Friday pattern for the remainder of 2026. Distribution begins at 10 a.m. while supplies last, and tickets are not required. The library says regular Friday market distribution does not take place on Pantry on the Go days.
On regular market Fridays, the posted hours are 2–5 p.m., with free numbered tickets distributed beginning at 10 a.m. on a first-come basis. Visitors may fill one bag and are encouraged to bring a reusable bag. These regular arrangements do not override the October 30 closure.
The market operates inside Southeast Anchor at 3601 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224. The branch is in Highlandtown and serves both Highlandtown and Canton. Its location page lists Friday library hours of 10 a.m.–5 p.m.; the grocery program’s closure should not be read as a separate announcement that the entire branch is closed.
The branch’s listed services include public computers, free Wi-Fi, printing and copying, Spanish-language materials, and job and career assistance. Visitors combining a library errand with a planned market visit should check the program notice before setting out, because library opening hours and food-distribution hours serve different purposes.
For travel planning, the location page lists Blue, Navy and 22 bus service, along with bicycle parking, accessible parking and nearby street-parking options. Contact the branch at 410-396-1580 with location questions. Check the library’s own pages for any further changes before making a trip.
Keep the two upcoming pantry dates on your calendar, and follow Power1047’s Power Beat coverage for more Baltimore community updates. The linked program page remains the direct source for market notices and distribution arrangements.
