Maryland early voting ends Thursday, October 29th, at 8 p.m. For Baltimore-area residents planning to vote before Election Day, this afternoon is the final scheduled opportunity to use an early voting center. The Maryland State Board of Elections lists October 22nd–29th as the general election’s early-voting period.

Choose a center in the jurisdiction where you live. Baltimore City and Baltimore County are separate jurisdictions, so crossing that boundary for a more convenient location can send you to the wrong place. Use the state’s official center list rather than assuming your usual Election Day polling place is open for early voting.

Before leaving home

Eligible residents who are not registered can register and vote at an early voting center with proof of residence. The state lists an MVA-issued license, ID or change-of-address card, or a qualifying document such as a paycheck, bank statement, utility bill or government document showing your name and address.

Bring the information you need, check the address, and leave time for the trip. If a recent move or another registration issue complicates your situation, consult the State Board’s guidance or your local election board before setting out. The relevant rules depend on the change; a general reminder cannot resolve every individual case.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3rd, with voting from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The state’s Election Day guidance directs voters to their assigned polling place that day. The location rule differs from early voting, when voters may choose among their own jurisdiction’s designated early voting centers.

Use the official voter-information lookup to confirm your registration details and assigned Election Day location. Saving the correct address now can make a later plan easier if you do not vote today. Do not rely on an old sample ballot, a previous election’s center list or a search result that omits the year.

This deadline update follows PowerPage’s earlier Baltimore voter guide. Today’s immediate decision is whether to use the remaining early-voting hours; November 3rd remains the scheduled Election Day option. Consult Maryland’s official election information for questions about other voting methods and their separate deadlines.
