ONE Musicfest Pauses Its 2026 Festival While Planning a 2027 Return

ONE Musicfest will not stage an event in 2026, ending months of uncertainty with confirmation that the long-running Atlanta hip-hop and R&B festival is taking a planned pause before an expected 2027 return.

The festival’s official website now states that ONE Musicfest is “on pause for 2026” and directs supporters toward updates for 2027. Organizers have framed the decision as a rebuilding year focused on new ideas, partnerships and experiences rather than simply repeating the existing format.

That makes the hiatus an important music-business story as well as a schedule change. ONE Musicfest grew over 16 years from a smaller gathering into one of the country’s most visible Black music festivals. Organizers said the 2025 edition drew roughly 100,000 attendees, with a lineup that included Future, Ludacris, The Roots and dozens of additional performers.

No detailed financial reason has been publicly announced. That means rising artist fees, production costs, shifting ticket habits and stadium-tour competition may provide industry context, but they should not be presented as the confirmed cause of this specific pause.

The distinction between cancellation and retooling will now depend on what happens next. A newsletter and 2027 messaging are already in place, but the future lineup, location, dates, partnerships and format remain unannounced.
