Maryland football's gameday upgrades are aimed at changing the full trip to SECU Stadium, not simply the three hours inside it. The university unveiled a collection of transportation, viewing, food and entertainment changes Thursday ahead of the 2026 home schedule.

Presidential Drive will reopen, creating another way for fans to reach and leave the stadium area. Maryland is also establishing designated rideshare zones to reduce confusion around pickups. Those changes address the part of a college football Saturday that often shapes a fan's experience before the gates even come into view.

Inside the stadium, more than 50 televisions are being added to concourse areas so fans can follow the game while visiting concessions. The school will also allow sealed or empty water bottles under its published rules and introduce an under-$5 menu designed to make basic food and drink options easier to manage.

The entertainment plan expands Terpsville and introduces the Terp Tank, while revised routes will give supporters new ways to see the team and band approach the stadium. The official Maryland app remains central for mobile tickets and current gameday information, making advance preparation important for anyone attending.
