LAYA Brings Lipstick N Leather to D.C.’s Union Stage on December 1
LAYA’s Lipstick N Leather tour is coming to Washington, D.C., with a Tuesday, December 1 show at Union Stage. The LAYA Union Stage listing confirms an 18-and-over event, doors at 7 p.m. and an 8 p.m. start at 740 Water Street SW.
The date appears on both the singer’s official tour page and the venue’s event listing, making it a confirmed nearby option for Baltimore-area R&B listeners planning ahead. The practical details matter: the age restriction applies to this show, and the 7 p.m. time is for doors, not the performance.
An artist with a hand in the whole presentation
LAYA’s work extends beyond singing. Her official biography identifies her as a songwriter, producer, creative director and visual artist, with an approach that reaches into the presentation surrounding the music. She directs and edits her visuals and handles her own hair, makeup and wardrobe.
Her debut EP, Um Hello, introduced a sound drawing on 1990s R&B, while Bet That continued her exploration of soul and pop. The creative control described in her biography helps explain why a live date is more than a chance to hear familiar tracks: visual identity is part of the artist’s established practice. The venue has not published a set list for this performance.
The D.C. details
Union Stage’s announcement highlights “Yeeha” and describes a catalog concerned with love, confidence, vulnerability and personal freedom. The artist’s official “Yeeha” video appears below as a preview of her music, not as footage of the upcoming concert.
