H.E.R. introduced two unreleased songs at Spotify’s RNB X Live festival on November 1st, giving fans a first listen to “Did You Miss Me” and “Friends.” Spotify’s November 2nd recap confirms the performances at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas, part of the Dallas area.

The singer was joined during her set by Miles Caton. Erykah Badu also performed, with The Alchemist appearing alongside her, while the wider lineup included DESTIN CONRAD, kwn, Jai’len Josey and opener rjtheweirdo. Conrad returned to the stage with kwn for their collaborations “all fours” and “DADAMAN.”

A playlist moves onto the stage

The significance extends beyond the two song premieres. In its September announcement, Spotify described the one-day event as its first standalone R&B concert and the largest live expression of its RNB X editorial playlist. The company partnered with Live Nation Urban to put established performers and newer voices on the same bill.

That approach builds on smaller RNB X experiences, including After Hours in Washington, D.C., and The UK Sound events in New York and San Francisco. Spotify’s artist-partnerships and editorial leaders framed the expansion as a way to connect the discovery happening on the service with in-person audiences. The festival was designed around that relationship, rather than a single artist’s album campaign.

For H.E.R. listeners, the confirmed news is the live debut of those two titles. Spotify’s recap does not announce release dates for either recording or identify an accompanying album. It says selected festival performances were captured for exclusive release on Spotify, without specifying a complete rollout schedule.

The event offers a useful snapshot of contemporary R&B’s live circuit: familiar headliners, emerging performers and collaborations sharing one dedicated stage.
