EARTHGANG’s ‘Cool Me Down’ is heading into a different kind of listening room this week. The United Nations has included a track-launch session in its SDG Media Zone programme, pairing the hip-hop duo with a conversation about extreme heat, climate and human health.

The duo also posted an official ‘Cool Me Down’ studio video on September 21, offering a look at the track’s creation with NATURE credited as a collaborator. That behind-the-scenes clip is included below.

UN Web TV lists the launch in its September 24 broadcast, part of five days of programming during the UN General Assembly. For listeners following the duo’s next move, that creates a specific appointment later this week: an opportunity to hear the artists discuss the work in a public-policy setting.

The published session programme gives ‘Cool Me Down’ a 3:30–4:30 p.m. Eastern slot. It describes a discussion of the creative process behind a new Sounds Right track, a public premiere and a possible acoustic performance. That last element remains tentative; the programme does not promise a full concert.

Dot and Olu are listed for an artist conversation moderated by Iminza of the Museum for the United Nations — UN Live. Climate adviser Selwin Hart is scheduled to give remarks. A separate panel brings the artists together with Wellcome’s climate-and-health director Alan Dangour and EARTHGANG Foundation executive director Jazmine Alexander-Nicholson, with UN Live’s Katja Iversen moderating.

The format puts the song beside the questions that informed it. Music is the entry point, while the scheduled discussion asks how cultural voices can help audiences connect climate change with everyday health. For hip-hop listeners, the interest is hearing that connection explained by the artists themselves.

The SDG Media Zone is organized by the UN Department of Global Communications with the PVBLIC Foundation. Its September 21–25 broadcasts cover a range of global issues, and Thursday’s listing places EARTHGANG alongside sessions on climate action, food, technology and human rights.
