DOJA CAT APOLOGIZES TO FANS WHILE U-TURNING ON RETIREMENT PLANS

Doja Cat has apologized for wanting to quit music. The "Planet Her" lyricist took to Twitter to clarify comments she made surrounding retirement and to apologize to her fans for her bluntness.

“I can travel, I can eat good food, I can see new people, I can smile, I can make memories that I dreamed of having, I can laugh, I can support my family and my friends, I can learn about the world, and I can give back to everyone because of you,” the Grammy Award-nominated artist wrote. “I do owe people shit. I owe a lot.”

She added, “I owe myself a lot too. I owe myself the chance to open up and be good to people. I owe myself the death of my fears that don’t allow me to expand my heart. I didn’t come to another. country to do something I can do everywhere else. That would be pointless in a way.

“I came here because I knew there was something new. New people. New things.

New stories to learn. I came and I gave not enough. I need to give more because I noticed I’ve been taking a lot. Taking from almost everybody who’s reading this.”

After Doja Cat’s initial tweets, she also responded to a few fans. One fan in particular wrote Doja didn’t need to be so hard on herself and pointed out how hard she’s worked to get to where she is.

“I’m not discrediting myself,” Doja Cat wrote in response. “I work my ass off. I know that. It’s tiring but I’m not suffering because of people like you. My suffering comes from myself. Not everybody else. It’s my problem but you guys always help me solve it when you support me the way you’ve been.”

Doja’s lengthy tweets were written in response to another set of lengthy tweets she fired off on Friday (March 25) after she canceled a festival set of hers in Paraguay that angered fans. The cancelation came after Doja felt she didn’t give it her all during a Brazil performance that night.

“I don’t think I gave Brazil a good enough show tonight at all and I’m sorry for that but thank you guys for coming out I fucking love you and thank god we got another show tomorrow I promise I’ll do better,” she promised. Her comments soon became flooded with upset Paraguayan fans, one of which asked her where her “humility” had gone.
