The Denzel Curry Kenneth Blume ii album will arrive August 21, reuniting the rapper and producer formerly known as Kenny Beats for a compact follow-up to their 2020 project Unlocked.

The first preview is “DIFFERENCE,” a restless collaboration featuring Yebba. Her vocal presence gives the track a melodic counterweight while Curry shifts between tightly wound cadences and a more explosive delivery. A video directed by NOTACHANCE arrived with the announcement.

Official listings show nine tracks on ii. The guest lineup also includes JPEGMAFIA and Westside Gunn, two artists whose distinct approaches fit the project’s stated emphasis on raw chemistry and productive studio friction.

Unlocked worked because Curry and Kenneth Blume treated short sessions like a pressure test: beats changed quickly, verses stayed physical and the finished record did not over-explain itself. Blume’s name change is part of the context. The producer has continued moving beyond the Kenny Beats identity while preserving the collaborative instincts that made his earlier work with Curry connect. Billing both artists prominently keeps the album framed as a two-person construction.
