“Coyote vs. Acme” Finally Reaches Theaters After Its Long Road Off the Shelf

Wile E. Coyote's biggest victory may be making it to the screen. The Coyote vs. Acme theatrical release begins today, completing an unusually public rescue for a finished live-action and animation hybrid that once appeared destined never to reach audiences. Ketchup Entertainment is now bringing the film to theaters nationwide after acquiring it from Warner Bros. Discovery.

The story gives the Road Runner's relentless pursuer a new kind of opponent. After another Acme product backfires, Wile E. hires a struggling attorney, played by Will Forte, and sues the company that has supplied his catastrophes for years. Lana Condor joins the human cast, while John Cena plays the imposing attorney defending Acme. The premise turns decades of cartoon failure into a courtroom fight over corporate responsibility.

Director Dave Green and screenwriter Samy Burch build the movie around the collision of Looney Tunes physics and a live-action legal comedy.
