Boyz II Men Sign With Warner Records Nashville for a 2027 Country Project

Boyz II Men are opening a new chapter in Nashville. Warner Records Nashville announced Monday, October 26, that Nathan Morris, Wanyá Morris and Shawn Stockman have signed with the label for a country project arriving in 2027. The announcement puts an R&B institution inside a different musical setting without yet revealing the finished sound.
The label’s announcement identifies country storytelling and vocal tradition as the connection. Warner Records Nashville chair and president Cris Lacy points to Randy Travis as an important influence on the group and describes the collaboration as an opportunity to bring their harmonies into Nashville’s creative community.
This is not their first recent meeting with the genre. Earlier this year, Boyz II Men joined Lady A for “I Love The One,” a collaboration inspired by The Chosen. That recording offers context for the new deal, though it should not be mistaken for an announced track on the upcoming project.
According to Rated R&B, the release would be the group’s first album project in a decade. Their 2017 album Under the Streetlight revisited songs from the 1950s and 1960s, with guests including Brian McKnight, Take 6 and Amber Riley. That history makes interpretation and vocal chemistry familiar territory even when the material changes.
For longtime listeners, the appeal is easy to understand. Boyz II Men’s place in R&B rests on the way individual voices settle into a shared emotional line. A change in instrumentation or songwriting environment can offer a new frame for that strength; it does not automatically tell us what the result will sound like.
The practical details are still limited. Warner has announced the signing and the 2027 window, but the release does not provide an album title, exact release date or track list. Those are the next details to watch before drawing conclusions about collaborators, singles or how far the group will lean into country production.
For now, this is a confirmed label move with a clear creative direction. Keep up with PowerPage R&B News as the trio shares music and turns the announcement into an album listeners can hear.
