Beyoncé’s “B’DAY” at 20 Adds Maluma, Selena, and a 31-Track Digital Deluxe

Beyoncé’s “B’DAY” at 20 is now much bigger than a standard anniversary reissue. Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records have released a 31-track digital deluxe edition that reframes the 2006 album with remastered audio, newly upgraded visuals, rare recordings, and surprise collaborations built for a fresh generation of listeners.
The expanded set retains the album’s original rush—from “Déjà Vu” and “Ring the Alarm” to “Irreplaceable”—while pulling B-sides and Spanish-language recordings into one complete sequence. It also gives “MORNING DEW (DONK),” released over the Fourth of July weekend, a permanent home inside the anniversary campaign.
Two additions make the deluxe edition especially notable. “CUERPO (TUMBAO)” pairs Beyoncé with Colombian star Maluma and draws on Celia Cruz’s “Guantanamera,” connecting the project’s pop ambition to a wider Latin lineage. “IRREEMPLAZABLE (COMO LA FLOR)” places Beyoncé beside the late Selena in a duet approved by Selena’s estate.
Parkwood says videos from the B’DAY era have also been upgraded in 4K. That matters because the album’s visual identity was never an accessory: Beyoncé filmed an unusually broad video suite that helped turn the record into a full-scale performance statement rather than a singles-only campaign.
Released on Beyoncé’s 25th birthday, the original B’DAY captured an artist moving with urgency after Dreamgirls. The horns, drums, vocal attack, and tightly wound arrangements still sound built for movement. Twenty years later, the expanded edition emphasizes how much of her modern visual-album discipline was already taking shape.
