Beyoncé's “B'Day” 20th Anniversary Edition Expands the Era on Vinyl

Beyoncé's “B'Day” era is getting a larger anniversary frame. A newly detailed official shop listing reveals a four-LP deluxe vinyl edition built to mark 20 years since the album arrived in 2006. The Beyoncé B'Day 20th anniversary edition is pressed on 180-gram Bayou Blue vinyl and is scheduled to ship in September, giving one of her most kinetic albums a premium archival treatment.
The package reaches beyond a standard reissue. Its expanded program includes “Morning Dew (Donk),” Spanish-language recordings, B-sides and other material connected to the period. Collectors also receive a 60-page commemorative booklet and two double-sided art prints. The format turns the anniversary into a physical tour of the era rather than a simple color-vinyl refresh.
Originally released on September 4, 2006—Beyoncé's 25th birthday—“B'Day” opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Parkwood Entertainment says the album moved 541,196 copies in its first week. Songs including “Déjà Vu,” “Ring the Alarm” and “Irreplaceable” helped define a record driven by live-band energy, sharp percussion and a more forceful vocal attack.
That urgency is why “B'Day” still feels distinct inside Beyoncé's catalog. The album moved quickly, favored decisive hooks and paired pop scale with funk, R&B and Southern rhythmic ideas. Revisiting it now also highlights the through line between the commanding performer heard in 2006 and the artist who would later build increasingly ambitious visual albums, tours and cultural events.
