Xbox Game Pass Adds Four Premium Games Today, With More Arrivals Ahead

Xbox Game Pass subscribers have a fresh reason to check their libraries today. Microsoft’s September 15 announcement lists Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Planet of Lana II, Routine and Ultimate Sheep Raccoon as September 16 additions to Game Pass Premium. These are new arrivals for that plan, not four games all launching for the first time.

The calendar continues with Dune: Awakening on September 22 for Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass. Minecraft Dungeons II follows September 29, while Gears of War: E-Day is listed for October 6; both are day-one arrivals for Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Those later dates matter when deciding what is available to play right now.

There is an outgoing list, too. Microsoft says eight games leave September 30, including Atomfall, Sifu and Little Nightmares 2 Enhanced Edition. Check the full announcement for the complete lineup and each title’s supported devices before planning a download or a multiplayer session.

For anyone comparing subscriptions, the Game Pass overview explains why the plan name matters. Ultimate spans console, PC and supported cloud devices, while PC Game Pass is aimed at computer players. Premium offers a different selection, and Essential does not include new releases on day one. A game appearing in an announcement is therefore not a promise that every subscriber receives it.

Library access also has limits: Microsoft’s FAQ says access ends when the subscription expires or is canceled, or when a game leaves the catalog. Availability can vary by region, device and plan. A listing should be checked against the account and hardware you actually use, particularly if you move between a console and a PC.

The practical approach is to start with your existing membership, confirm the game and device combination, and then decide what deserves your time. Today’s Premium additions offer one starting point; the later arrivals provide a separate calendar to watch. Keep those two lists apart and this month’s update becomes much easier to navigate.
