Wale’s “WYFL” artwork pairs a flaming basketball emblem with the WNBA Finals anthem.

Wale has a new soundtrack for championship basketball. The rapper and the WNBA have introduced “WYFL,” an official anthem for the 2026 WNBA Finals, with a full video available through their YouTube collaboration. The league posted its own introduction on October 19th as the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries compete for the title.

The release gives listeners two ways into the record: a short presentation on the WNBA’s website and the full, two-minute-plus upload on YouTube. Its artwork spells out “Who You Feeling Like?” beneath a flaming basketball emblem, connecting the song’s title directly to the campaign’s competitive setting.

A familiar meeting of music and sports

Wale’s relationship with professional sports has roots beyond this release. The Washington Wizards named him creative liaison in 2014. More recently, D.C. United’s official match guide listed him as the halftime performer for its March 7th game against Inter Miami at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Those projects provide regional context for an artist whose music regularly enters sports spaces.

For this Finals project, the league identifies the song as a new record inspired by the two teams in the championship series. That official connection is the news: “WYFL” arrives as part of the Finals presentation, giving fans a track they can play beyond a broadcast clip. The full video is embedded below for anyone who wants to hear it in context.

The release also follows Wale’s move into footwear, covered in PowerPage’s CapSole report. Together, the projects show different sides of his work outside a conventional album rollout: one connects him to a brand’s creative direction, while this one places a new song inside a major basketball event.
