T.I. and Trina Bring Royal Takeover to Baltimore; Fabolous Leaves the Bill
T.I. and Trina are set to bring The Royal Takeover to Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena on Friday, October 16th, with an important change for fans checking older advertisements: Fabolous is no longer scheduled to perform. The arena’s current event page attributes his absence to a scheduling conflict.
The venue lists doors at 7 p.m. and the show at 8 p.m. Its updated announcement names T.I. and Trina, while Ticketmaster’s current listing also includes DJ Envy. Fans should use those current listings when checking the bill, rather than older promotional pages that still include Fabolous.
The concert gives Baltimore-area Hip-Hop listeners a Friday-night outing with two established Southern rap names. The practical priority is making sure the lineup on a saved flyer matches the show being sold now. The arena notes that scheduled artists remain subject to change; the update does not announce a cancellation of the concert itself.
For arrival, search for Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena by name in your navigation app. The venue explains that 1000 Hilltop Circle is a university-wide address, so entering the street address alone can send drivers to another UMBC building. Its parking guidance recommends arriving at least an hour before showtime because campus traffic can become congested.
Free parking is available around the arena on a first-come basis, alongside paid options. Attendants direct arriving vehicles, and the venue is cashless. Check the official parking page before leaving rather than assuming a preferred-space purchase is included with a concert ticket.
The clear-bag policy permits clear bags no larger than 12 by 6 by 12 inches and small clutches up to 4.5 by 6.5 inches. Medically necessary items have an inspection-based exception. Packing light can make entry easier.
Accessibility also matters before selecting a seat: the arena says there is no elevator access to the 200 level. Its event page directs guests needing wheelchair-accessible seating to Ticketmaster’s ADA filter. Review the current event details and available seating before buying, then leave enough time for parking and entry.
