The Super Mario Galaxy Movie Lands on Peacock July 30

Families looking for an easy Thursday-night watch will have a major animated option waiting on Peacock.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie begins streaming exclusively on the platform July 30, following its theatrical run. Peacock lists the film at one hour and 38 minutes with a PG rating, making it a manageable weeknight choice for families and viewers who want a bright, low-stress adventure.

The sequel returns to the Mushroom Kingdom with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and other familiar characters. Chris Pratt, Charlie Day, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black and Keegan-Michael Key return to the voice cast, while Brie Larson joins as Princess Rosalina. The expanded cast also includes Donald Glover and Issa Rae.

The story sends its characters beyond the familiar kingdom and into new worlds, giving the sequel a larger visual scale than the first film. Peacock’s official preview says the adventure begins when Peach and Toad answer a call from the Lumas to help rescue Rosalina.

For viewers who missed the theatrical release, the streaming arrival offers a straightforward way to catch up without a rental charge beyond the Peacock subscription. The platform also carries 2023’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie, making a double feature possible for families with more time.

PowerPage’s recommendation is simple: this is the pick for a household looking for shared entertainment rather than a heavy late-night drama. It is colorful, familiar and short enough to fit a Thursday evening before the weekend begins.
