Rod Wave Expands Don’t Look Down Tour Ahead of D.C. Concert

Rod Wave is adding nine performances to his Don’t Look Down Tour as demand builds around his forthcoming seventh studio album.

The expanded itinerary now includes second nights in Philadelphia, Houston, Dallas, Detroit, Brooklyn, Chicago, Orlando, Sunrise and Atlanta. Tickets for the newly announced concerts went on sale Friday at noon.

The complete tour begins September 12 in Philadelphia and reaches Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., on October 16. Singer-songwriter FRIDAYY will serve as the supporting act throughout the run.

Rod Wave’s new album, Don’t Look Down, is scheduled for August 28. The project will be his first full-length release since Last Lap, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and became his fourth consecutive No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

The Florida artist has already introduced the new chapter with “Feed the Streets” and his latest single, “Hustle.” The tour’s expansion indicates that his emotionally direct combination of rap, soul and gospel influence continues translating into major ticket demand.

Rod Wave’s October appearance gives Baltimore–Washington listeners a regional opportunity to experience the new material without traveling to Philadelphia, Pittsburgh or Brooklyn. It will also place him inside one of the largest concert venues in the region.

The arena run concludes November 19 with a newly added second performance at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
