Ravens Make Receiver Moves as Ja’Kobi Lane Nears Possible Return

Baltimore is reshaping its receiver depth ahead of Week 6. The Ravens announced on October 13th that Chris Moore was moving off the roster and Xavier Guillory was being released from the practice squad. The moves arrive as rookie Ja’Kobi Lane becomes eligible to return from injured reserve, although his availability has not been confirmed.
What changed at receiver
The team’s roster announcement records three catches for 63 yards and one touchdown for Moore across four appearances. His scoring catch came on a four-yard pass from Lamar Jackson in the Week 3 victory in Rio de Janeiro. Baltimore now has a different receiver configuration to evaluate before its next game.
Lane has missed four games after injuring his wrist in the season opener. Eligibility to leave injured reserve is an important procedural step, but it does not establish that he has been activated or cleared to play. Coach Jesse Minter had left open the possibility of a return against Cleveland in his Monday comments.
The next update matters
Monday’s injury update also left questions elsewhere in the lineup. Jackson’s ankle was improving, but Minter could not confirm whether the quarterback would practice Wednesday. Trey Hendrickson, who has missed two games with a finger injury, was another possible returnee. Cam Jurgens was still completing concussion protocol.
Those are separate situations, and none should be treated as a guaranteed addition to the game-day lineup. Practice participation and subsequent team announcements will provide firmer evidence than the roster opening alone. For readers tracking Lane, the key distinction is between being eligible to return and actually returning.
Baltimore enters the week following its overtime win over Atlanta. That result is covered in our full Ravens–Falcons recap; Tuesday’s news is about personnel rather than a change to the outcome. The immediate watch is whether the next practice report turns one of the possible returns into a confirmed step forward.
