Morgan State Hosts Howard for MEAC Opener and Hall of Fame Saturday

Morgan State opens its MEAC schedule at home Saturday, October 24th, when Howard visits Hughes Memorial Stadium for a 3 p.m. kickoff. The Bears enter at 5–2 and the Bison at 3–4, setting up a conference opener with a familiar regional opponent.
The official matchup preview identifies this as the teams’ 79th meeting. Morgan State leads the series 44–33–1, although Howard won last year’s game 33–27 in overtime. Morgan won the previous meeting at Hughes Stadium, 35–21 in 2024. Those recent results provide context, not a prediction for Saturday.
A new phase of the schedule
The Bears are coming off a 25–16 loss at Tennessee State that ended a four-game winning streak. With conference play beginning, Saturday offers a different immediate task: establish an early MEAC result rather than revisit the nonconference defeat.
Morgan’s advance lists ESPN+ for the broadcast and WEAA 88.9 FM for radio. Fans planning to attend should use the university’s event listing for the official ticket link and any updated event information.
Hall of Fame recognition and a Ravens connection
The afternoon is also Morgan State’s Hall of Fame Game. The university says nine members of the 2026 Varsity “M” Letterwinners Club Athletic Hall of Fame class will be honored, following a Friday, October 23rd, awards banquet at the Morgan State Student Center.
The event listing also announces a special co-branded Morgan State and Baltimore Ravens cold-weather beanie giveaway while supplies last. Poe and the Ravens Cheerleaders are scheduled for a pregame appearance. The giveaway is limited, so attendance should not be treated as a guarantee of receiving one.
Plan the afternoon
Hughes Memorial Stadium is at 1700 East Cold Spring Lane in Baltimore. The university says current students can attend home games free with a valid BearCard ID. The separate banquet prices on the event page should not be confused with football admission.
The home schedule continues quickly: South Carolina State visits Thursday, October 29th, at 7 p.m. For more Baltimore-area team coverage, visit PowerPage Sports.
