Masego Fix Your Face Tour Brings New Album to D.C. and Virginia Beach

The Masego Fix Your Face Tour reaches Miami tonight, and the current run is already lining up two useful Mid-Atlantic dates for R&B listeners. Masego is scheduled to play The Anthem in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, August 22, then The Dome by Rutter Mills in Virginia Beach on Sunday, August 23.

The tour supports Fix Your Face, the 16-track album Masego released July 17 through Capitol Records. The project includes Buju Banton, Keyshia Cole, Leon Thomas, Musiq Soulchild and other collaborators, but its clearest throughline is more personal: Masego has described the record as an exercise in emotional honesty, faith, growth and learning how to respond when life hits hard.

That interior focus still leaves room for the musicianship audiences expect from him. Masego’s live identity moves between vocals, saxophone, percussion, keys and loop-driven arrangements, making the album’s quieter reflections and groove-heavy moments part of the same show rather than separate lanes.

The tour is his first headline run in nearly three years and is billed at more than 40 dates. Its scale reflects how far his audience has expanded since “Tadow,” while the Washington and Virginia Beach bookings keep the regional stops in venues large enough for a full production without losing the connection central to his performance style.
