Maryland Indigenous programming grants reach their final application deadline tonight. MD Two Fifty lists Thursday, October 15th, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. as the cutoff for its Financial Support for Indigenous Programming and Powwows opportunity, giving eligible organizations a final window to seek support.

According to the official funding page, applicants may request up to $1,000 for a project, with no matching funds required. The support is intended for powwows and Indigenous community events presented by tribal entities or by nonprofit and governmental organizations partnering with them. Eligible applicants are nonprofit organizations and governmental entities.

The commission directs applicants to a Google Form and says applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. The application link required Google sign-in when checked this afternoon. Organizations should use the link from the official funding page and allow time to access the form before the stated deadline.

This opportunity is separate from MD Two Fifty’s concluded small-grants and Once in a Generation programs. Readers should look specifically for the Indigenous-programming heading instead of assuming that another grant listed on the same resource page is still accepting applications.

The initiative sits within Maryland’s commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary. The commission describes its broader purpose as a statewide reflection that includes Marylanders’ contributions to history, civic participation, and service. Its public materials encourage communities to experience that history through places, programs, and local involvement.

For an organization considering a last-day submission, the practical first step is to confirm that its applicant status and tribal partnership fit the published criteria. A funding ceiling describes the maximum request, not a promised award; applicants should rely on the commission’s instructions for the application itself.

Check the official funding page for the deadline and application link. PowerPage’s Power Beat coverage follows community resources and opportunities across Baltimore and the surrounding region.
