Lamar Jackson’s availability for Baltimore’s next game remains unsettled. Head coach Jesse Minter said Monday, October 5th, that the Ravens were still gathering information about the quarterback’s ankle injury, leaving his status for Sunday night’s matchup with Atlanta uncertain.

According to the Ravens’ Monday update, Jackson hurt his ankle near the end of the first half against Tennessee and did not return after halftime. Baltimore listed him as questionable to return during the game, but Tyler Huntley finished the afternoon at quarterback.

“I don’t know the chances yet,” Minter said in his Monday press conference. He said the evaluation still included imaging and additional information. Although the coach did not believe the issue would be a lengthy absence, he did not provide a firm recovery timetable or say Jackson had been cleared to play.

What Baltimore knows now

Sunday’s official injury report provides the immediate football context: Jackson completed 15 of 20 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns before leaving the 24–18 victory. Huntley went 8-for-9 for 63 passing yards and added 16 rushing yards, helping Baltimore protect its lead despite a scoreless second half.

Those results explain why the next update matters beyond the identity of the starter. Baltimore produced its touchdowns with Jackson before halftime, then had to manage the game with a different quarterback and deteriorating weather. The Ravens won, but their offensive rhythm changed.

Huntley remains the next option

Minter’s press-conference transcript reflects confidence in Huntley’s mobility, composure and standing with teammates. The coach also acknowledged a more conservative approach in the second half, while making clear that the offense still needed to convert opportunities near midfield.

For now, Baltimore has a public update rather than a final answer. Minter’s cautious optimism about the length of the injury should not be read as a confirmed return date. Jackson’s next participation update and any eventual game designation will determine how the quarterback discussion develops.
