Jay-Z Confirmed for Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show at SoFi Stadium

Jay-Z is taking center stage at Super Bowl LXI. Roc Nation, Apple Music and the NFL announced late Monday, October 26, that the rapper will headline the halftime show at SoFi Stadium on February 14, 2027. The announcement gives hip-hop one of its biggest performance dates of the coming year.
The official announcement places the show in the Los Angeles area and lists ESPN, ABC and Disney+ as broadcast and streaming outlets, with mobile access through NFL+. It does not announce a set list or guest performers. For now, Jay-Z is the confirmed attraction; any dream collaboration remains a fan wish list.
The booking follows his 2026 Jay-Z 30 run marking three decades of Reasonable Doubt. That celebration included three nights at Yankee Stadium and stops in London, Paris and Los Angeles. The halftime assignment extends a year centered on the catalog that established him, while handing him a very different kind of stage.
The Associated Press notes that Roc Nation has been an NFL entertainment partner since 2019. Its report also places the announcement after a guest-heavy Los Angeles concert weekend: John Legend, Scarface and DJ Khaled joined the opening night, while Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Too Short appeared Saturday. Those concert appearances should not be treated as confirmations for February.
What makes the next step compelling is the format. A career-spanning concert can follow several musical turns; a halftime performance has to make its argument quickly. The question for listeners is which side of Jay-Z gets the emphasis: the early street narratives, the arena-sized anthems, or the records that connect generations of fans.
Production details are already taking shape. Roc Nation is an executive producer and Hamish Hamilton is directing, according to the announcement. The performance itself is still ahead, leaving room for further official details rather than predictions presented as news.
