Inside the NBA has its next regular-season calendar. ESPN announced on Thursday, October 1st, that the studio show will make 25 appearances across ESPN and ABC during the 2026–27 season, beginning with Opening Week coverage on October 21st and 22nd.

The schedule announcement keeps Ernie Johnson alongside Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kenny Smith. TNT Sports will continue producing the program from Atlanta, with the crew contributing analysis before games, at halftime, and after the final buzzer.

For viewers planning the first month, the opening two nights are followed by appearances on October 28th, November 4th, and November 11th. Other listed dates include Thanksgiving Eve on November 25th and Christmas Day. The calendar runs through the regular-season finale on April 11th.

The timing varies by network. ESPN says its NBA Tip-Off coverage generally starts one hour before ESPN games and 30 minutes before ABC games, while the postgame show follows the broadcast. These are general windows; fans should check the listing for the specific game they intend to watch.

In a separate programming feature, ESPN explains that a steadier rhythm was a priority for the show’s second season across its networks. Programming executive Dan Ochs describes an emphasis on more appearances early in the season while keeping the team present around major January and February matchups.

That approach gives the announcement a practical purpose beyond a list of dates. It identifies when viewers can expect the familiar panel to accompany the basketball, making it easier to plan around both the game and the conversation afterward. The show’s mix of analysis and personality remains central to ESPN’s description of its role.

The announced calendar covers the regular season; playoff dates will come later, and the schedule remains subject to change. Keep up with PowerPage Sports for additional verified NBA viewing updates as the season approaches.
