Gunna is moving from campaign face to creative decision-maker at Under Armour. The Baltimore-founded company has named the Atlanta rapper its global brand ambassador and creative director of P-Star, a new platform connecting apparel, footwear, community programs and cultural storytelling. The appointment gives Gunna Under Armour P-Star authority beyond a traditional endorsement while placing one of hip-hop's most visible fitness transformations inside a major performance brand.
P-Star debuts Thursday, August 27, with a 14-piece collection available through UA.com and A Ma Maniére Atlanta. Heavyweight T-shirts, shorts, sweats and football-inspired HeatGear styles carry the new identity. The limited first drop is led by the UA Scorpio, Gunna's first official footwear collaboration with Under Armour. A wider release for the shoe is planned for early 2027.
That product story matters in Baltimore because Under Armour is not borrowing hip-hop culture from a distance. The company's home city has spent decades shaping the relationship between music, streetwear, sport and local identity. Giving an artist a creative-director title creates a clearer test: whether P-Star becomes a durable platform with its own design language or remains a celebrity capsule built around one launch.
Under Armour founder and CEO Kevin Plank framed Gunna's discipline, wellness work and community building as central to the partnership. Gunna described P-Star as an extension of how he lives: evolving, training and creating with long-term growth in mind. Those ideas are visible in the collaboration's emphasis on movement rather than red-carpet placement.
The next phase already extends beyond clothing. Under Armour says a Wunna Run capsule is planned for early 2027, followed by a premium P-Star Lux expression before summer. The partnership also includes football and flag-football access, Wunna Warriors programming and support for Gunna's Great Giveaway Foundation.
The strongest version of this deal will be measured by what P-Star builds after the first sellout window. PowerPage's recent music-business coverage has tracked artists taking larger roles in technology and ownership. Gunna's move places creative direction, community investment and product performance in the same Baltimore-connected conversation.
