Gears of War: E-Day Reaches Its Worldwide Launch on Xbox and PC

The Gears of War: E-Day launch reaches its worldwide release on Tuesday, October 6th, following an early-access period that began October 1st. The Coalition’s official launch announcement sets the full release for 8 a.m. Pacific, or 11 a.m. Eastern, opening the next chapter to players beyond the early-access editions.
The game is available on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC and Steam. Xbox also lists cloud access through Game Pass Ultimate and GeForce NOW. Those are separate ways to play; readers should check the requirements and entitlement attached to their chosen service before assuming a purchase on one platform covers every other option.
The announcement distinguishes the full launch from the Premium Edition and Premium Upgrade routes used for early access. With the October 6th release here, the useful question is which version and platform fit a player’s existing setup, rather than whether an early-access window is still ahead.
A closer look at the play ahead
The Coalition’s official achievement guide lists 54 achievements leading toward a Mythic Achievement. Its objectives span the campaign, collectibles, cooperative play, revives, Horde and Versus, giving players a clearer picture of the activities recognized beyond simply reaching the end of the story.
The published list also offers a practical planning tool for friends who want to play together. Some objectives concern teamwork, while others reward exploration or progress through specific modes. Players who prefer to discover story developments themselves may want to avoid reading the full achievement descriptions before starting.
The official launch trailer pairs the game’s imagery with Metallica’s “For Whom the Bell Tolls.” YouTube requires viewers to sign in and confirm their age to watch. Xbox’s announcement also points players toward the Gears support and status pages for technical assistance and service updates.
PowerPage’s Gaming coverage follows games, hardware and the services around them. Today’s development is the full release itself. Server performance, community response and longer-term support will require their own evidence as players spend time with the game.
