Fat Joe’s new Tiny Desk concert arrived November 5 with a guest list that turns the small performance space into a gathering of longtime collaborators. Remy Ma, Jadakiss, Stove God Cooks and Stevie Mackey join the Bronx rapper across a set that connects familiar hits with material from “Organized Rhyme.”

NPR Music’s official video runs just under 26 minutes. The performance takes place at NPR headquarters, a different setting from Joe’s 2021 Tiny Desk home concert. The new edition brings his voice, the guest exchanges and a live rhythm section into the same close quarters.

According to NPR’s set list, the sequence includes “New York,” “The Aroma,” “I Won’t Tell,” “Lean Back” and “All the Way Up.” Remy’s appearances give the performance a direct connection to two of Joe’s most recognizable collaborations, while Jadakiss and Stove God Cooks join him on “The Aroma.”

A Catalog Built for Company

The musicians include Zo Harris on keys and as music director, Ricky “Strings” Ramos on guitar, Keithan Foster on bass and Antwan “Amadeaus” Thompson on drums. Ted Smooth handles DJ duties, with Dre contributing background vocals. Watch the complete official performance here.

The value of this format is the chance to hear a familiar catalog in one continuous setting. Listeners can compare the handoffs between rappers, the room’s response and the way the band supports each song without treating a short social clip as the whole performance.

It also offers a useful distinction between career longevity and simple nostalgia. A set that places newer album material beside established collaborations invites the audience to hear how the current work relates to the songs they already know. The full video provides that context more clearly than a list of guest names alone.
