Cardi B’s Tiny Desk concert is here. NPR released the performance on October 19th, bringing the rapper into its office for an eight-song set backed by a full ensemble. The session gives listeners a different way into her catalog: the songs share the same small room with bass, keyboards, guitar, drums, horns and background vocals.

NPR’s published set list opens with “Hello” and “ErrTime,” then moves into “Man of Your Word” and “Be Careful.” The second half turns to “Up” and “AH HA” before closing with “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It.” That sequence connects newer material with two of the records most closely associated with her breakthrough.

Adam Blackstone is credited as music director, bassist and keyboardist. The ensemble also includes DJ Ray G, Eugene Roberts, Clayton Sears, Cedric Thompson, Kenneth Whalum and Melvin Jones, with Tiffany Stevens and Ebony Franklin on background vocals. NPR’s credits make the musicians part of the story, rather than leaving the accompaniment anonymous.

The appeal of a session like this is the chance to follow those parts alongside the lead vocal. Listen for where the keyboards, horns and rhythm section enter, and how the arrangements frame a familiar hook. The full performance below lets viewers make that comparison for themselves instead of relying on isolated clips.

This is a newly released NPR performance, not an announcement of another Cardi B album or a Power1047-produced session. The source credits and complete concert are available through NPR’s Tiny Desk coverage and official video.

For another look at how artists explain the work behind a long catalog, read PowerPage’s Treach interview feature. Cardi’s set offers the performance side of that conversation: a recognizable voice, a familiar songbook and a band sharing the spotlight.
