Bijan Robinson’s new Atlanta deal resets the veteran running-back market.

The Atlanta Falcons have made Bijan Robinson the new financial standard for veteran NFL running backs.

Atlanta and Robinson agreed Tuesday to a three-year extension worth up to $75 million. NFL Network reported a base value of $66.75 million, which equals $22.25 million per year. The agreement includes $51 million guaranteed and $37 million at signing—the largest guarantee attached to a non-rookie running-back contract.

The deal ends Robinson’s training-camp hold-in. He had reported and attended sessions but remained on the sideline while negotiations continued. With the extension in place, Atlanta can return its top back to full preparation before preseason play.

Robinson produced 2,298 yards from scrimmage and 11 touchdowns in 2025, earning first-team All-Pro honors. Through 51 career games, the 2023 No. 8 overall pick has 3,910 rushing yards, 1,738 receiving yards and 34 total touchdowns.

The contract carries league-wide weight because it moves the position’s market above Saquon Barkley’s $20.6 million annual average. Detroit running back Jahmyr Gibbs, Robinson’s fellow first-round pick from the 2023 draft, is also seeking a new agreement, making Atlanta’s numbers an immediate point of comparison.

The Falcons have now committed long-term money to the center of their offense. Drake London and Kyle Pitts also received major extensions this offseason, while Robinson’s new deal gives the club a clear identity built around versatility and yards after the catch as well as traditional rushing production.
