Beyoncé and JAY-Z Reunite on the “Morning Dew (Donk)” Remix Pack

Beyoncé opened Wednesday with another surprise move, releasing a four-track remix package for “Morning Dew (Donk)” that includes JAY-Z on two versions.

Parkwood Entertainment announced the release on August 5, extending a rollout that began when Beyoncé issued the original song in July. The new package gives the record several alternate treatments while placing the Carters together on a commercial release again.

For Hip-Hop listeners, the JAY-Z appearance carries its own weight. GQ described the feature as his first official verse since his extended appearance on DJ Khaled’s “God Did” in 2022. That makes the remix more than a celebrity pairing: it is a rare new recording from an artist whose recent public performances have not produced a steady stream of released music.

The timing also connects the single to Beyoncé’s larger anniversary campaign. “Morning Dew (Donk)” is positioned as the first single from the forthcoming 20th-anniversary edition of B’Day, scheduled for September 4. Instead of treating the archival song as a one-day release, the remix pack gives it a second chapter and brings Hip-Hop directly into the celebration.

No additional solo JAY-Z project has been announced. Any suggestion that the verse confirms a new album would go beyond the available facts. What is confirmed is enough: Beyoncé has refreshed the record, JAY-Z is back on wax, and one of music’s most closely watched partnerships has given fans a new collaboration to unpack.
