Baltimore Women’s Giving Circle Opens Applications for Grants Up to $25,000

Baltimore Women’s Giving Circle is accepting applications for its 2027 grant cycle, offering up to $25,000 to organizations serving women and their families in Baltimore City and Baltimore County. The application portal opened November 1st and closes December 15th at 5 p.m. Eastern, according to the Circle’s current grant process page.
Organizations may seek general operating support or funding for a specific program. This is funding for eligible organizations, rather than a direct cash-assistance application for individual residents. The Circle says alignment with its mission and vision is the most important factor in evaluating proposals.
Who can apply
The 2027 eligibility guidance requires public-charity status documented through an organization’s own IRS determination letter, an eligible fiscal sponsor, or a qualifying national or state parent organization. Organizations that received a BWGC grant in 2026 cannot apply in this cycle. Programs also cannot require participants to follow a particular religion or attend religious services.
The Circle focuses on adult women and girls ages 12–18, and also accepts applications from organizations serving younger children. Where a program serves women and men, it gives priority to applicants serving at least 75 percent women. Applicants should review the full current guidance before choosing a project or submitting a budget.
Help with the application
A virtual applicant information session is listed for November 4th from 1:30 to 3 p.m. The application overview links to registration and says a recording will be made available. Check that page for the current session and recording status before making plans.
Review teams may request a site visit during the evaluation period, which runs from mid-December through April. Members make final funding decisions in May, notifications are expected by early June 2027, and awarded funds are available for use from July 1st, 2027, through June 30th, 2028.
The program’s reach includes youth development: Baltimore Community Foundation’s March grantee report highlighted Girls on the Run among organizations supported by the Circle.
