Baltimore’s Bar Exam finale brings six emerging artists to M&T Bank Exchange tonight, closing a 16-week development program from KEYS Empowers with a live concert, industry feedback, and a VIP after-party. Doors are scheduled for 6 p.m., the concert runs from 7 to 9 p.m., and the after-party is listed from 9 to 11 p.m.
The program is designed as more than a showcase. KEYS Empowers describes The Bar Exam as an incubator that combines artist development, mentorship, collaboration, and attention to wellness. The finalists will perform original music created during the program with producers King Midas and Tip12LVE, backed by the Live Vibe Band under the musical direction of Jeffrey Mitchell and Joe Pryor.
Announced special guests and judges include “American Idol” finalist Gabby Samone, Baltimore rapper YG Teck, NASG Chaz, G Honcho, and Aja Marie. Their role puts working performers and music professionals in the room with developing artists at the point when the training moves from rehearsal and recording into a public stage presentation.
The concert also reflects a broader local network. DTLR and the Baltimore Mayor’s Office are listed as presenting partners, WBAL-TV 11 as a media partner, and DVLPMNT as a therapeutic partner. That combination reinforces the program’s stated goal of treating sustainable artistry as a mix of creative skill, business preparation, community support, and personal care.
M&T Bank Exchange is located inside the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center at 12 North Eutaw Street. The current event announcement directs attendees to KEYS Empowers for registration and lists the access code “KEYS.” Guests should verify availability and entry instructions before traveling because the event takes place tonight and details can change close to doors.
The Bar Exam finale joins a crowded Friday of independent music in Baltimore. Readers can also see PowerPage’s preview of Bruiser Wolf’s Baltimore debut, which pairs Detroit and local rap voices at Le Mondo. The KEYS event occupies a different lane: it centers artist development and gives six participants a professionally supported stage designed to turn preparation into a visible next step.
