B2K is moving its reunion beyond touring and nostalgia.
Omarion, Raz-B, J-Boog and Lil Fizz have released “Mileage,” the first single from the group’s forthcoming fourth studio album. The still-untitled project is expected this fall and will mark B2K’s first new album in more than 20 years.
The group began rebuilding its public momentum after officially reuniting in 2025. That was followed by the Boys 4 Life Tour and a VERZUZ event against Pretty Ricky, where B2K previewed the new single before its official release.
“ Mileage” is rooted deliberately in the sound that made B2K successful.
Producer Ethos built the track around a sample associated with EPMD’s “You’re a Customer,” a musical reference also connected to Jodeci’s “Come and Talk to Me” remix. The production places B2K inside the lineage of hip-hop soul without making the record sound like a direct copy of the group’s early work.
That balance will determine whether the comeback becomes sustainable.
Reunion tours can succeed through memory alone. Fans purchase tickets to hear the songs connected to their adolescence, school dances and early music-video culture. A new album creates a different requirement: the group must give listeners a reason to remain interested after the familiar records have finished playing.
B2K also returns to an R&B market that is structurally different from the one it left.
During the group’s original run, radio, physical retail and music television could concentrate attention around a relatively small number of releases. Today, B2K must compete with thousands of weekly songs, social-video trends, independent releases and younger artists who grew up studying the group’s visual and performance style.
The members’ individual identities may now become an advantage.
Listeners know more about Omarion, Raz-B, J-Boog and Lil Fizz as separate personalities than they did during B2K’s earliest years. A mature album can use those distinctions rather than trying to recreate the image of four teenagers frozen in the early 2000s.
“ Mileage” reportedly gives each member a defined vocal moment, with Lil Fizz also contributing a rap section. Its accompanying video brings back coordinated styling and choreography while presenting the members as adult performers.
The album will be released through BPC Music Group, the label created by Black Promoters Collective, with distribution through Vydia.
That arrangement is notable because it connects recording activity with a company already involved in Black touring and live-event promotion. Inference: the structure could allow B2K’s album, performances and direct audience marketing to operate as one coordinated campaign rather than separate businesses.
PowerPage Analysis
B2K’s reunion has already proven that an audience remains for the group.
The harder question is whether that audience wants only the memories—or a believable adult version of B2K that can create new ones.
“ Mileage” is the opening test. The forthcoming album must now demonstrate that the reunion has enough creative purpose to exist beyond touring.
